Hike or bike the West Fork Rail-Trail or the Allegheny Trail -- both accessed in Durbin.
Tour the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank. Take a short drive to skiing, championship golf, the Cass Scenic Railroad, nature walks in the Gaudineer Scenic Area, and some of the best fly fishing in West Virginia. Great location for rail fans, bird watchers, and photographers with the beauty of the Allegheny Mountains and National Forest all around you.

There is no cell service in the Durbin area. We have no TV or air conditioning in the rooms, but we do have free fast wi-fi.
In the cool mountain climate, usually the ceiling fans provide adequate cooling.
